Radon is a radioactive noble gas that is produced from the natural radioactive decay of uranium in soils and rock. Radon is also found in water.  It is recommended to measure radon in water if you have detected high leves of radon in indoor air, have well water og borehole water in solid rock.

We are changing sample bottle and reducing the sample volume for measuring radon in water.
The new sample bottle is:

40 mL brown EPA vial (without preservative)

Environmental benefits of changing the sample bottle:

  • We reduce the use of plastic
  • Reduce the weight of the sample which is good for transport
  • Smaller sample volume

When taking samples, it is important to note the date and time of the sampling.
